Obituary of Michael Robert Dufresne

MICHAEL ROBERT DUFRESNE June 7, 1952 – January 4, 2015 Mike Dufresne passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2014. He was predeceased by his mother Gertrude Monn; father Bernard Dufresne; and lifelong friend Ian MacDonald. Michael is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Desiree and Chelsea and their mother Lynda Bankley; grandchildren, Lynden Hill and Genevieve Dufresne; brother Ron Dufresne (Jeffrey, Angela and Amanda); and lifelong friend Roddy Jean Louis. Mike was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He relocated to the west in the mid-seventies. Although separated geographically, Mike maintained lifelong relationships with his friends. Mike’s love for his daughters, Desiree and Chelsea, was his passion in life. He was also passionate about his favourite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens, and never missed a game. Mike will be missed by many. His family and friends will forever carry him in their hearts. A Memorial Service and Interment will be held in April 2015 in Montreal, Quebec.
