Obituary of Alexander Dale Negraeff

In the early hours of Tuesday, January 6, 2015, Alexander Dale Negraeff passed away peacefully as a result of prostate cancer. He is predeceased by his parents; John and Mary Negraeff; parents-in-law, Wenzel and Annie Krieser; brothers-in-law Doug Strang, Tim Krieser & George Beliveau; sisters-in-law Marianne Beliveau & Carol Krieser. Dale is survived by Diane, his loving wife of 46 years; three children, Michael (Kathleen), October McAllister (Colin) and Darren (Jennifer Tillett); five grandchildren, Alexander & Michaela Negraeff, Findlay & Sloane McAllister, and Samantha Negraeff; one sister, Dorothy Strang, and numerous nephews and nieces. Dale was born on October 21, 1944 in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan, grew up in Radisson and Meadow Lake, excelling in all sports, especially hockey. He enjoyed being out in nature, and loved hunting and fishing. He attended the University of Saskatchewan, graduating with a degree in Economics. Dale and Diane were married in 1968 and moved to Vancouver where he began his career in finance with Manufacturers Life Insurance. After several transfers (Kelowna, Edmonton, Saskatoon), they settled in Regina where he became a certified Financial Planner, most recently employed by Desjardin Financial. A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held at The Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK, on Monday January 12, at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends wishing to do so may make donations in memoriam to the Canadian Cancer Society 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3. The family wishes to thank friends and family for their prayers and support during this difficult time. A special thanks goes out to the medical staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital.
