Louise Trudelle

Obituary of Louise Anne Trudelle

February 15, 1938 – January 9, 2015 Louise Trudelle (nee Eberts) passed away peacefully in her new home on January 9, 2015 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by her parents Helen and Joseph Eberts and her beloved husband Judge Paul Trudelle. Louise will be deeply missed by many, especially her children Joe (Shelley), Monique (Tim), Alf (Kathy), Paulette (Mitch), Gerry and her grandchildren Leah, Brett, Avery, Paul, Katie, Devin, Jordyn and Jayk, sisters-in-law Claire Trudelle and Winona Trudelle, niece Suzanne (Bill) and great nephew, Peter. Louise met Paul when she was a legal secretary and he was an articling student; they were married for 33 wonderful years. Louise was a loving wife and mother; she was always welcoming and gracious and put the happiness of her family and friends ahead of her own, which in turn made her happy. She was always devoted to her children; from very early on she made sure they had every opportunity to find their passion. Louise was proud of all their accomplishments and was always their biggest cheerleader. More recently, she shifted that focus to her grandchildren – her pride and joy. In 1979 Louise decided to share her many talents and flair for fashion when she co-founded Thee Lingerie Shoppe, a landmark shop in the city of Regina where she remained involved until 2001. Throughout her life, Louise always wanted to make a difference; she volunteered as a block parent when her children were younger and was an active volunteer on numerous political campaigns. Louise was a board member at Santa Maria Home in appreciation of the care her mother received, and after her retirement she shifted her energies to supporting Government House as a Board member and active volunteer. Louise was an avid reader and always found time to enjoy a good book. Shopping was her other past-time; her sense of style and ability to find the perfect piece was uncanny. Louise will be fondly remembered for her love of family, generosity and kindness. Her family will always remember the warm and loving family home she created and shared so freely. At Louise’s request, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of life will take place in spring of 2015. To honour Louise, donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
