Obituary of Christina Emma Henry

October 20, 1920 – January 13, 2015 Christina “Teenie” Henry (nee Cormack) passed away at College Park II Personal Care Home with her children by her side. She is predeceased by her parents Alex and Rose Cormack; her siblings Rose (Hugh) Miller, Don (Kay) Cormack. Teenie is survived by her husband of 69 years Floyd Henry; children Neil (Joan) Henry, Lois Culbert, Wanda (Jim) Lauten, Don (Jill) Henry; grandchildren Greg (Michelle) Henry and their daughters Taylor, Sarah, and Tessa, Renee (Cory) Hadley and their daughter Faith, Jaelyn (Rob) Korsch, Ryan Culbert and his daughter Elaina and son Kelsey, Graham (Colette) Lauten and their daughter Brooke, Nathan Lauten, Eric Lauten, BreAnne Henry, Jarett Henry; sister-in-law Gwen Henry and many nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Edmonton, AB. During the war she met Floyd who was in Edmonton training for the Air Force. They were married January 31, 1945. After the war they moved to the farm at Gray, SK. In 1969, they bought a house in Milestone where they lived until 2011 when they moved to College Park in Regina. Teenie was fortunate that she always lived close to her family, as her family was very important to her. She was always very involved in her church and spent many hours visiting shut-ins, the sick, and the newcomers. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Milestone United Church Memorial Fund or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. A Celebration of Teenie’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015.
