Obituary of William "Gordon" Shearer

Gordon passed away peacefully with his son Trevor at his side, at the age of 76 years. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Roni; his daughter Kathy (Bill) Calder and their children, Chandra (James) King, Billy and Natasha; son Trevor and his daughter Tabatha; great grandson Jimmy King; brother Hugh (Carol); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gord was sadly predeceased by his parents, Bill and Edith; and sisters, Dolores and Doreen. Gord devoted his life to providing for his family. He will be fondly remembered for his love of curling and his charitable work with the Heart and Stroke Big Bike Ride, Lung Association, AIDS Programs, Shriners, Kidney Foundation, and Regina Humane Society, to name a few. Gord was a member of Wascana Masonic Lodge #2 since 1961 and member of the WA WA Shrine Pipes and Drums. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
