Obituary of Lillian Hoeving

LILLIAN HOEVING It is with great sadness, the family of Lillian Hoeving (nee Gunia) announces her passing on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Lillian died peacefully surrounded with love and with her family by her side. Mom, Grandma, Lil was born December 28, 1919 in Cedoux, Saskatchewan and recently celebrated her 95th birthday. She lived a full life always with family being number one. Grandma had a heart of gold and was a kind generous caring woman. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Gunia; husband Frank, seven siblings, two sons in infancy, granddaughter Melissa and great-granddaughter Lylah. Lillian leaves to cherish her memory children, Bryan (Carla), Rodney (Leona), Marlene Puff (Larry) Dwayne (Carol), Dale, Peter (Terry); grandchildren, Joely (Troy), Brett (Audrey), Terry, Darren, Ryan, Allison (Jason), Craig, Michael (Shelly), Nicole (Derek), Scott (Dana), Shawn (Kristen), Shawn, Ashley (Jan), Amy, Molly, Megan, 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian lived a wonderful life of 95 years. She spent many of her days entertaining family. Grandma was a caregiver and always gave selflessly of herself. Family was the most important thing to Grandma and her love for life and positive spirit was admired by all. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
