Obituary of Joseph Leonard Marcel Hobbins

LEONARD HOBBINS Joseph (Leonard) Marcel Hobbins was born on June 14, 1928 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his wife Doris (nee Koshman), parents, Maurice and Alice Hobbins, brothers, Bryden, Vincent and Fred; sisters, Lyla, Margurite, Marie and Cora; and grandsons, Isaac, Garrett and Tim. Leonard will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his sisters, Loretta Gillies and Maureen Ness; sons, Dale (Shirley), Dean (Susan), Craig (Irene), Maurice (Mary), Clayton, Lionel, Darryl (Lori), Kenneth (Shelley) and his daughter Collette (George); grandchildren, Melanie (Tyrone), Ryan, Alyshia (Chad), Brandon, Kendra, Felicia, Chelsea (Steve), Kyle, Dayna, Jaden, Bryden, Danelle (Jon), Desiree, Paige, Brittney and Emily (Dave); great-grandchildren, Tayah, Caleb, Luke, Emitt, Savannah, Aryona, Hanna, Ty, Dakota, Hailey and Peyton; and extended family and friends. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Harbour House/ Wintergreene Estates and Regina Lutheran Home for their compassionate care. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave, Regina on February 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church, 4720 Castle Road, on February 28, 2015 (next Saturday) at 1:00 p.m. All in attendance are invited to join the family for a reception at St. Martin de Porres, Parish Hall following the mass. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1 or a charity of your choice.
