Obituary of Darrol Dean Driver

DARROL DRIVER It is with great sadness that we announce that Darrol Driver passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 after a long journey with multiple myeloma. Darrol is survived by his loving wife of fifty years Jeannine, sons Scott (Betty) and Kim, sister Dwila, brothers Don and Dwight, as well as four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Tara, sister Arlene, and brother Dwaine. Born in Osage, Saskatchewan in 1931, Darrol attended Luther College in Regina and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in agriculture in 1955. He was a man who truly loved the land, and his dual career as an agrologist and farmer gratified him immensely. A natural leader, teacher, and learner, Darrol built a full and fulfilling life – sportsman, pilot, amateur artist and so much more. He was a valued member of the Shrine T-Birds, and a Mason from the age of 21. Darrol held many leadership positions in the Lodge, eventually rising to the rank of 33rd Degree. He lived “the craft” daily. Darrol was a mentor to his family, and dedicated to his community. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude for the wonderful care Darrol received from the Regina General Hospital, Dr. Patrick Duffy, and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre.
