Obituary of Eric John Novak

ERIC JOHN NOVAK Eric passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Eric was born on June 8, 1927 in the Estlin district at NW 19-15-19 W2 to parents Lawrence and Mary Novak. In 1949, Eric married Margaret Drew of the Rowatt district. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Elaine; brother Leroy; and daughter-in-law Ann Marie. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret; children, Mark and his wife Susan Moore, Glen and wife Nancy, Stephen and his wife Karen, Ellen and her husband Darcy Runge, Tim, Bernard and his wife Tania, and Donald; brother Leonard and his wife Pauline of Calgary; thirteen grandchildren and their spouses; six great-grandchildren; and Judy Cano and Vivian Klein. Eric lived and farmed in the Rowatt/Estlin district all of his life. His favourite pastimes were farming, woodworking, carpentry and wine making. If something was needed for the farm, Eric was always able to build it or fix it. Eric was a strong supporter of his community, church and profession. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. Eric was blessed with a full and happy life surrounded by those he loved. The Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King R.C. Parish, 3239 Garnet Street, on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make donations in Eric’s memory to Chip & Dale Homes Inc., 75 Kress Street, Regina, SK, S4N 5X8.
