Obituary of James Richard Isted

September 7, 1947 - March 12, 2015 After a very brief battle with cancer, it is with sadness and comfort to announce Jimmy has gone to join his wife Alison, daughter Laura, parents George and Alice Isted, and mother-in-law Vera Ives. Lovingly remembered by his children Vera (Norm) Hoffert, Chris (Kari) Isted; grand-daughters Jennifer (Nick Zieger) Hoffert, Faith and Aria Isted; brothers and sisters Herb (Joyce) Isted, Betty (Leonard) Hackewich, Doug (Kim) Isted, Wayne (Sandy) Isted, Art (Lynn) Isted, Rose (Ron) Sharpe; godson James Andrew Ives; in-laws Margurite Ives, Larry (Dorthy) Ives, Jerry (Linda) Ives, Judith Neil, Peta Rich, Jeanne Keys and Roger (Kim) Ives and many nieces and nephews. For the past 16 years Jimmy worked at Performance Marine up until the day he became ill. Thank you to Murray Wilson for the support and kindness shown to Jimmy during this time. Many knew him as a "Gentle man" but those close to him knew he had a need for speed and performance. Chris and Vera have heartfelt gratitude to our aunts and uncles for their love and assistance. The family cannot repay the wonderful palliative care and Allan Blair staff. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice. A private graveside service will be held followed by a Celebration of Jimmy's Life which will be held at Silton Community Hall, Silton, SK on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:30 am.
