Obituary of Tony Cal Pelletier

TONY PELLETIER 1977 – 2015 It is with heavy hearts and sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Tony Cal Pelletier on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Vancouver, BC at the age of 37 years. Tony is survived by his daughter Autumn; parents, Sandra and Percy; his brothers, Percy (Roxanne), Kevin (Kelsee), Kelly, Davis, and Ajax; Kookum Linda; and Mushum Gordon (Alma). He was predeceased by his Kookum Nellie Anaquod, Kookum Kathy O’Soup, Mushum Glen O'Soup; and his great-grandparents Lucy and Edwin Pelletier. He is also loved and remembered by Calvin Cyr (Lisa); Corey and Cal; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Tony was born in Calgary on November 17, 1977. He excelled in school and sports and flourished as a very outgoing individual. Throughout his life, he worked in the pipeline and construction industry. Tony's most proud accomplishment in life was on March 24, 1999, when he welcomed his beautiful daughter Autumn into this world. Tony will always be remembered for his intense love and respect for family and friends. A true lover of life whose selfless disposition benefited all those around him. His strength, perseverance and fearless approach to life was an inspiration to all. His bright smile lit up rooms and hearts alike. Tony's boundless energy and outgoing personality electrified everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His ability to verbally express his deep love and affection was one of his most endearing qualities never to be forgotten. His huge heart for strangers, family and even animals knew no limit. He was a man who would give you his shirt off his back literally and figuratively and could be counted on day and night for anything. Tony’s varied interests included watching MMA fights with family and friends, listening to music, cars, native culture and fashion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. A Wake will be held at the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship Centre, 3131 Dewdney Avenue, on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In memory of “the little boy in Tony”, if you so choose, the family would prefer teddy bears in lieu of flowers. The teddy bears will be distributed to the children’s units in Saskatoon’s hospitals.
