Obituary of David John Dixon

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of David Dixon on March 21, 2015. A caring father, loving husband, giving son, and devoted friend… David Dixon truly left his mark on people through his everlasting generosity of love for those around him. He was a man of ambition, always driven and capable in all he set his mind and heart to. Whether it was building a log cabin, buying a new gadget, working in his workshop, or giving someone who was down and out the time of day, David found immense value in quality in all that he did. David’s care and compassion for those around him was paramount to anything else in his life. He was a man who believed in the good in people and sought out beauty in the world. He’d be the first to offer a hug and make time to visit those who dropped by… David’s very existence represented love, friendship, and peace. David was predeceased by his son Timothy, mother Jean, father William, sister-in-law Leila Lee, and father-in-law Edward Lee. David is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of forty-two years, Patty, and his daughter Amy, the light of his life, as well as his brother Don, his mother-in-law Carole, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and his chosen family of Kannata Valley friends. David will be sadly missed by all who knew him….in his words, “bye for now”…. A Gathering for David will be held at the Silton Hall in Silton Saskatchewan on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of David to the Silton First Responders, c/o Patty Coons, P.
