Obituary of Mildred Carnochan

Mildred Carnochan passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 90 years at the Palliative Care Unit of the Regina Pasqua Hospital. Mildred is predeceased by her parents Peter and Polly Lukinchuk; her first husband Rudy Yaworsky; second husband Peter Carnochan; brothers Alex, Louis and John; sisters Anne (Bob) Winn and Eva (Arthur) Harris; brothers-in-law Niven and James (Marlene) Carnochan and son-in-law Larry Lancaster. She is survived by her brother Phillip (Bernice); son Danny Yaworsky; daughter Judy Lancaster (Alister Muirhead); granddaughters Kacy and Kara; sister-in-law Bernice Thurmeier as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the emergency teams, the medical teams on 4A and the Palliative Care teams on 3A at the Pasqua Hospital. Mildred or Melanja as she was named at birth was a selfless wife and mother who always put her family’s needs ahead of her own. Although Mildred loved to cook and garden and in later years to follow the Roughriders, her biggest joy in life came from her granddaughters. Mildred was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all who knew her. A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
