Obituary of Marilyn Yvonne Prefontaine

Surrounded by her children and husband Marilyn Yvonne LeBlanc Prefontaine joined family members and friends when she passed away peacefully early on March 25, 2015 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. Marilyn, 76, is survived by her loving husband Bernard; children Hélène (Michael), Patricia and Alain (Brandy) and her grandchildren. Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Alex and Edna LeBlanc and stepmother, Alice. She is predeceased by siblings Jeanette, Marjorie, Victor, Carl, and most recently Hazel. Marilyn graduated from the Moncton School of Nursing in 1959. Shortly after graduation her desire was to work her way to the West Coast. At her first stop in quiet Rockglen, Saskatchewan she took her first nursing post and met her husband. In 53 years of marriage Marilyn was a busy farm wife, mother, and nurse. She loved music and found delight sharing time and laughter with good friends. Funeral Mass will be at St. Jean-Baptiste R.C.
