Obituary of Stewart Douglas Orr

Stewart Douglas Orr died at Regina, SK. on May 11, 2015 at the age of 55. He was predeceased by his mother Irene in 1998. He is survived by his father Ken; his sister Mary (John Bacon); brother Donald (Barb Flaten); his nephews and nieces, Daniel, Peter and Anna Mathen, Christopher, Jamie and Kylie Orr and many good friends. He is also survived by his dog Sadie. He attended Peart School and Central Collegiate. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina in 1981, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1984 and a Master of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1986. He spent his entire career as a lawyer with the firm of Rendek McCrank and its successor firms. His greatest joy was to travel the world in search of great art and architecture, good theatre and fantastic tennis, especially at Wimbledon and U.S. Open. Two of the highlights of his life were attending the Winter Olympics in Vancouver and being in Mosaic Stadium to see his beloved Roughriders win the Grey Cup at home. The family would like to thank the many medical professionals who provided Stewart with such great care during his life, especially Dr. Bill Lewis. At Stewart’s request there will be no funeral. Flowers declined.
