Obituary of Monica Marlene Schnell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Monica’s passing on May 22, 2015. Monica was predeceased by her mother and father Lisa and Willi Schnell; grandparents Stefan and Katharina Schnell (Henry Sabasch), and Margarete and Heinrich Stuven. Left to mourn her loss are Henry and Debbie Schnell, Doris Schnell and John Kuffner, Eric Schnell and Denise Strecker-Schnell, and Monica’s special friend Gary Wilson. Also missing her are nieces and nephews Corey, Nicole (Peter), Justin, Matthew (Sarah), Hayley, Sydney, Jason (Kristin), Chelsey, and Lucas, as well as ten great nieces and nephews, her cherished cat Angela, and many dear friends. Monica grew up in Regina, graduating from Thom Collegiate and pursuing post-secondary education at both the U of R and the U of S. Monica earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Laws. She practiced law in Melfort and Regina before retiring due to health issues. Monica was fiercely independent and faced these many health challenges with determination and courage. She never took a moment of life for granted and was determined to live life to the fullest. She was loved and cherished by many. We will miss her immensely. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many people who provided services to Monica over the years including Dr. W. Klassen, Dr. D. Hunter, Dr. J. Rudovika, the staff of Regina Qu’Appelle Homecare and Regina Paratransit. We also want to thank EMS, RFD and RPS for their quick response. A Celebration of Monica’s life will take place at Knox-Metropolitan United Church 2340 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK., on Monday June 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Robert Kitchen presiding. Flowers are most gratefully declined. Anyone wishing to make a gesture of remembrance, may make a donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 150 Albert Street, Regina, SK., S4R 2N2
