Obituary of Sparvier Stephen Matthew

MATTHEW STEPHEN SPARVIER It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Matthew (Matt) Stephen Sparvier on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the age of 24 years. Matt was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Wilbert and Leota (Sparvier) Aisaican of Cowessess First Nation; and maternal Mushum Gerald Anaquod of the Muscowpetung First Nation. Matt is survived by his dad Gary Sparvier; mom Sharon Anaquod; Kokum Frances Anaquod; sisters, Jasmine (Dylan) and Vanessa (Randy); brothers, Aaron (Angela), Amos, Gary Jr (Melissa), Joey and Chris Acoose; as well as all his cousins and friends whom he considered all brothers; uncles, Barry (Sharon) Anaquod, Elden (Tanya) Anaquod, Barry Sparvier, Mark (Marla) Sparvier, Melvin (Tara) Aisaican, Todd (Lisa) Aisaican, Wendell (Holly) Sparvier; aunts, Tracy (Stan) Bobb, Brenda Anaquod, Elaine (Chipper) Courchene, Rhonda (Gilbert) Laframboise, Charmaine Sparvier; as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends from all over Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Matt grew up most of his life in Fort Qu’Appelle and made many friends throughout the years in school, hockey and skateboarding. More recently his passion was music and he wrote many lyrics and songs with his ‘Canadian Currency’ family. Matthew was loved by all. A Wake will take place at the Piapot Community Hall, Piapot First Nation on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be also on Piapot First Nation on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Anaquod Family Cemetery on the Muscowpetung First Nation.
