Obituary of Verne Alexander Harvey

VERNE A. HARVEY October 16, 1925 – June 24, 2015 Verne passed away suddenly on June 24, 2015 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2002 and his brother Warren in 2012. Verne will be lovingly remembered by daughter Wilma (Gordon Ward); son Wayne (Helen); grandchildren Eric (Dana) and Tanya Ward, Lindsay and Ali (Troy) and great-grandchildren Nathan and Ellis Ward. Verne was born in Griffin, SK. and grew up in the Midale and Tregarva districts. Following his marriage to Jean (McKechnie) in 1947, they farmed at Tregarva until their retirement to Regina in 1991. In recent years, Verne has lived at the Marian Chateau and at Golden Years Manor. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK., on Tuesday June 30, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Tregarva Cemetery, Tregarva, SK. Donations in Verne’s memory may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 1874 Scarth St, Regina, SK., S4P 4B3 or to a charity of choice.
