Sorry for these late condolences - we only learned today of his passing. Although Clare had already retired by the time we became CUPE staff, he had steady contact with many of his coworkers and this is how we met him. He was a wonderful sport and how we enjoyed teasing him, especially about his beloved annual fishing trip with the "fisher reps". We knew Clare for many years and loved his politics, his love of "puns", his dedication to workers, the environment, the rights of women and minoritiies.
