Obituary of Paul Arthur Jacquin

Paul passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 74 years. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Camille and Georgina Jacquin; wives, Denise and Myra; sister Jeanne Masse and brother Andre Jacquin. He is survived by his wife Leona; children, Annette Jacquin (John), Jennifer, Marc Jacquin (Claire), Carol Hoehn (Mike), Chelsey Robertson (Robert) and Jesse; step-children, Diane Tuchscherer (Russ), Jack Boychuk (Josie), Jo Ann Kosion (Wayne), Rob Boychuk (Wendy), Deana Pitzel, Tanis Van De Sype (Cary), Mandy Markewich (Carey); eleven step-grandchildren; brother-in-law Raymond Masse; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Paul enjoyed life to the fullest: dancing, singing and place his guitar, and being the life of the party with his impressions of Jean Chretien. Paul also sang with a number of community groups, was king of the barbeque and loved entertaining friends. Camping and travelling with his motor home were also a large part of his life. Paul had a 40 year career in banking. First at the Bank of Montreal, then as manager of Credit Unions in various towns, then finishing his career with the federal government. He was very active in the communities that they lived in, especially in Midale, where he became mayor and was responsible for many town improvements and the building of a senior’s complex named Jacquin Place to this day. Paul was also very active with the Lion’s Club. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Child R.C. Church, 2636 7th Avenue East, Regina, SK., on Monday July 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Those so wishing may make donations in memory of Paul to Neuroscience Research, University of Saskatchewan, 105 Administration Place, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7N 5A2 or to a charity of their choice.
