Obituary of Phyllis Lorraine Closson

Phyllis passed on July 10th, in Regina at Parkside Extendicare, due to complications in her battle with Parkinson's Disease. She had just celebrated her 80th birthday. She had a lifelong love of music and dancing. In later life she enjoyed going for walks or the occasional car ride, then stopping for coffee and a chat. Phyllis was born on July 8, 1935 in Teulon, MB. to Annie-Marie (nee Chole) and George Scott along with nine siblings: Edna, Donald, Gladys, Norman, Allan, Arnold, Marjory, Robert and Helen. She married Jerry Closson on October 30, 1954 and leaves a legacy of nine children along with their (spouses) and their [families]. Kay (Grant) Irons [Daxton, Andra, Daneel (Salvatore)Blair], Merl, Patrick, Kim (Karin) [Shea,Tegan]; Cheryll (Hale) Ramsey [Cole, Elliece, Chonteal], Neil, David, Judy (Brian) Perreault [Velma Kay (Gerald) Minelly, Branson] and Brenda (Jack) Mayoh [Zachary]. Phyllis is also survived by her brothers, Donald and Robert, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Jerry; son Leslie; father and mother and seven siblings. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations to “Ali Rajput Endowment” also known as “Parkinson Research Fund” established at the Royal University Hospital Foundation, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0W8.
