Sophie was born on the homestead near Limerick, Saskatchewan where she grew up. Sophie married George in 1948 and moved to Regina, where they raised their five children. She became an active and devoted member of the church. Sophie was known for her covrigi, cabbage rolls, and rosettes. She participated in many activities such as the church choir, bowling, crafts, and knitting for the needy. Sophie especially enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at unit 4-B at the Pasqua Hospital for the compassionate care given to Sophie.
