Obituary of Travis Lorne Gordon

TRAVIS LORNE GORDON July 6, 1994 – August 4, 2015 Travis Lorne Gordon passed away suddenly on August 4, 2015 at the age of 21 years. He was born July 6, 1994 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Tim and Doris (Dudiak) Gordon. He attended school at Dr. L. M. Hanna and finished elementary at St. Timothy School. Travis graduated from Archbishop M.C. O’Neill and went on to complete an electronics course at SIAST in Regina. He began working using his knowledge in the field of electronics, setting up projectors, sound systems, and other electronic devices in and around Regina however, he wasn’t satisfied and wanted more out of life and decided to take a 1A Truck Driving Course which led him to his most recent job working for J&T trucking. Travis also had a part time position working as a janitor at the Regina Regional Tribunal. Travis died tragically doing what he enjoyed, driving semi-truck. During his short time with us he enjoyed many things. He loved cars, trucks, motor bikes, snowmobiling, bowling and skiing. Travis loved music, mostly rock and 80’s rock, playing his music very loud not only at home but in his vehicles. His love of music also led him to participate in band during his school years. Travis spent many hours hanging out with friends. His greatest love was his son Liam, whom he was very proud of. Travis enjoyed going camping, fishing and kayaking every summer with his family. Travis spent a lot of time with the church, working bingos, making and serving coffee and he very much enjoyed mingling with the church parishioners. He participated in catechism and youth group. Travis leaves to mourn his tragically-ended life his son Liam (mother Tahlia); parents, Doris and Tim; sister Kristen (Kevin); brother Sean; grandparents, Orest and Sylvia Dudiak; aunt Sherry Quiring and her children, Tyler, Rory, Danielle and their families; aunt Linda Westermann and her children, Rayanne and Nolan; uncles, Pat Dudiak (Tracy) and Greg Dudiak (Pam); great uncles, great aunts and a great-great-uncle Brother Isidore Wasylenchuk; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harold and Bernice Gordon. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Prayers will be held at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will also be at St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
