Obituary of Daisy Eunice West

Daisy Eunice West (nee Marmounier) of Regina, Saskatchewan went home to be with her Lord on August 15, 2015. Born November 27, 1917 near Ericksdale, Manitoba, she was in her 98th year. She grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A life-long member of the Salvation Army, she served as an Officer from 1943 to 1957. In October 1957 she married Cyril West. She was employed by Excelsior Life Insurance in Regina for 17 years. Daisy served in a variety of roles in the Regina Salvation Army Citadel and was also much involved in the Canadian Bible Society. She was predeceased by her father, Victor Marmounier (1960) and mother, Marie (1979); husband, Cyril (1992) and brother, Gaston (2010). She is survived by her sister Marie Scott of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Ruby Marmounier of Thunder Bay, Ontario; niece Beverley (Ross) Johnston of Surrey, British Columbia; niece Judith (Jim) Thiessen of Thunder Bay; nephew Gary (Shirley) Marmounier of Thunder Bay; nephew James (Mary) Hadfield of Winnipeg, numerous great nephews and nieces; and very special friends, David and Diane Foley of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Jennifer Foley of Regina and Sid, Elva and Derek Coley of Regina. Public Visitation at Speers Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service in her memory, will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Her request was that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society, #401 – 43rd Street E., Saskatoon, SK S7K 0V5.
