Obituary of Margaret Ethel Archibald

Margaret Ethel Archibald, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her parents, William and Ethel Boyle; brothers and sisters, Madona, Orville, Myron, Lucille, Loretta, Dillon, Jane, Jerome, and Thomas and husband James Norman Archibald. Margaret is survived by brother James; sons Gordon (Jo-Ann) and Barrie (Sandy); grandchildren Ryan (Tanys), James (Danielle), Rae Fedyk, Edward; great grandchildren Zoey, Aavery and Alice as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was born in Shaunavon on October 6, 1923. Her parents were both originally from Minnesota, met and married in North Dakota, and then immigrated around 1914 to the Shaunavon area to operate a dairy farm and raise a family. Following school she worked in Winnipeg before making her way to Regina. Margaret met and married James Archibald in 1950 and they lived their life in Regina. Margaret was an independent businesswoman owning several rental real estate properties in Regina in the 1950s through to the 1980s while James farmed and operated local taxi companies. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling many times throughout North America with her sister Madona and ventured to Europe with son Gordon. An informal Memorial Tea will take place at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK, on Saturday October 3, 2015 from 2 – 4 p.m. Interment to follow at Regina Cemetery.
