Obituary of Margaret Elsie Petrovitch

Margaret Elsie Petrovitch (nee Van Buekenhout) February 16, 1923 – September 6, 2015 With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret at the Pasqua Hospital on September 6, 2015. Predeceased by her loving husband Arthur on June 30, 2010 after sixty-five years of marriage. Also predeceased by her father Joseph; mother Maria; sisters, Marie (Spennie) Spencer, Edith (Ron) Fodey, Bertha (Pat) McDonald; and brother Albert Van Buekenhout. She is survived by her loving sons, Neil (Shirley) of Regina Beach and Rodney of Regina; two grandchildren, Marnie (Conor) Monks of New Westminster, BC and James (Allison) of Regina; six step grandchildren, Dwight, Debbie, Dwayne, Darlene, Deanna and Darla Osiowy, and families; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Rylan Monks of New Westminster, BC, and Owen Petrovitch of Regina; brother Maurice (Vel); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret’s career through the war years started at Burns and Palm Dairies. After raising her family she worked at Queens Printers and Medical Arts Clinic for twenty years. Marg and Art spent many happy winters in Hawaii and Arizona. Special thanks to Dr. Sally Mahood, Angie and the staff on Ward 3D Pasqua Hospital for their compassionate care. At Margaret’s request there will be no religious service. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
