Obituary of Joseph 'Joe' William Kozan

JOSEPH WILLIAM KOZAN Joseph (Joe) William Kozan, late of Cupar, SK, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years, Faye; father Vincent and mother Vera Kozan. Joe is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (John) Kotylak and Sharon (Rick) Flaman; five grandchildren, Kirk and Kyle Kotylak, Jillese, Carter and Abbey Flaman; his brother Ernie Kozan, his sisters, Irene Heisler and Isabel Werner. Joe was born in Cupar in 1939. He attended school in Cupar and graduated from Campion College in Regina. Joe’s passion was his farm. He believed in a job well done and had an amazing work ethic. Joe’s hobbies included restoring antique tractors and spending numerous hours in his workshop. He was a talented welder and could fix or build anything. Joe enjoyed many winters in Arizona. It was one of his most favourite places. He enjoyed every morning with his friends having a “good cup of coffee” and ending each day with a soak in the hot tub. Joe loved a good “deal” and loved the Arizona Flea Markets. Joe was blessed to have Thelma Schulhauser in his life for the past six years. They enjoyed each other’s company and companionship. Thelma was always a huge source of support and strength for Joe, especially in his final days. Joe loved a good laugh and could tell a story like no other. His family and friends will sadly miss him. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Cupar, SK on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will be at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Cupar Cemetery will follow lunch.
