Obituary of Violet Helen Robinson

VIOLET ROBINSON Violet passed away peacefully on Friday September 18, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband David, stepson Jeffrey Robinson, stepdaughter Suzanne Robinson and brothers Clarence, Harold and Walter Wirth. Violet will be greatly missed by her children Debra Lynn Reid (Allan Dunn), Keith Tkach (Judy), Tim Tkach (Vicki), Marie Miville (Claude) and Daniel Robinson; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters Lillian Adams and Lorraine Schutz; sisters-in-law, Irene Wirth and Janice Robinson, and many nieces and nephews. Violet moved to Regina at the age of 16 where she took a business course, and then worked at Hospitalization and then as an Accounting Clerk with Producers Pipelines. Violet was an active member of the Silton Sunshine Club from 1980 to 2006 at which time she moved to Regina. She also kept busy with the Silton Seniors Wednesday Cards, and was a wicked cribbage player. Violet enjoyed gardening, handicrafts, doing needlework and was renowned for her culinary skills. She was a devoted Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and admired by many as a very compassionate person. Violet was much loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as by many friends in both Silton and Regina. She will be greatly missed! A Celebration of Violet’s Life will be held at the Silton Community Hall, Silton, SK on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
