Obituary of Mary Rowland

MARY ROWLAND On Thanksgiving Sunday, October 11, 2015, our Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma went Home to be with her Lord and Saviour. On December 22, 2015 she would have celebrated her 100th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph of fifty-two years in 1993; as well as four brothers and one sister. Giving thanks for her life, and sharing in many wonderful family memories are her sister Julie McMillian of Lethbridge, AB; her daughter Shirley (Murray) of Regina; son Lyle (Darlene) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Scott (Tracy), David (Tracy), Craig (Jamie), Kim (Dirk) and Alicia (Tim); great-grandchildren, Jordan, Zach, Josh, Gabrielle, Cassidy, Madelyn and Sloane. Mary always expressed her deep faith and relationship with Christ to others around her. Conversation about her family, friends, the Bible, current events and politics brought her joy, a smile and a twinkle in her eye. A special thank you to Lorelei Fletcher and the staff at Selo Gardens Personal Care Home, who provided an environment that Mary so loved and considered this her cozy home. At Mary’s request there will be no funeral. A private family interment will take place. So loved and missed by all.
