Obituary of Donald Wayne Bell

The Bell family sadly announces the passing of Donald Wayne Bell (Dad, Gramps, Pépé, Dinger). Surrounded by his beloved bride, Laurette, of 63 years and loving sons, daughters, spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wayne (Bonnie Mason), Melanie (Doug Heenan) Grant (Glenda Gropp), Don (Carolyne Nott), Garth, Graham, Linda (Darcy Paul) as well as forty eight grandchildren, spouses and great grandchildren. Donald was born in Vermillion, Alberta, August 17th, 1931 to George and Christine (McLean) Bell. His brother, John and sisters Jean and Verna have predeceased him. He is survived by his sister Merle and Sister-in-law, Corky. Donald was the proud and passionate owner of Insulation Applicators Ltd, a successful business of 61 years as well as System Scaffolding Inc, both now owned and operated by four of his sons. Donald gave back to his industry serving on numerous boards and organizations to improve the standards and recognition of the insulation trade in Saskatchewan and Canada. He was the first business agent in Local 110 Insulators Union in Edmonton, a leader and participant in RCA, SCSA, ASHRAE, TIAC, SICA, Sask Labour Board, Pension and Health and Welfare Funds. Music, dancing, rum, fishing and his dog Bailey, were some of his many passions. His generosity and positive attitude welcomed every morning as "the best day of his life". He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Tuesday November 3, 2015 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private family funeral will be followed by a Celebration of Donald’s Life for all family and friends, at the Royal Regina Golf Club, 5401 11th Avenue West, Regina, SK, on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. Thanks so much to Dr Bester and the Palliative Care team at the Pasqua hospital for your sincere and professional care.
