Obituary of Sofiya Szeremeta

Sofiya passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Regina, SK at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter as well as her siblings who lived in the Ukraine. Sofiya is survived by her daughter Lecia (Vladimir) and granddaughters Olga and Halina from Ukraine; granddaughter Mariya (Ihor) and their children Marta and Olena from Regina; many relatives and friends from the Ukraine as well as friends from the Ukrainian Community in Regina and area. A Prayer Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto St., Regina, SK on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Parkside Extendicare for the loving care given to Sofiya.
