Carol and family
We were saddened to read of Rays passing and send you our deepest sympathies. I recall my relationships with Ray when in high school and when I was on the school board. It was a good time in my life. I would like to think that he had an influence
in my life as I am sure he had in many of his students.

Condolences to the Tourigny family. It was my pleasure to work with Ray many years ago as we were both educational administrators, albeit with different school divisions. He was a consummate professional who worked hard to find solutions to difficult issues. I recall one instance when I was faced with a very sensitive issue and needed an honest answer to a difficult question, which he provided without hesitation.
We occasionally talked about our family backgrounds as our families came to Wolsely and Montmartre from Quebec.

Dear Carol and Family
I am saddened to hear of Ray's passing. I truly enjoyed working with Ray during the years he was my superintendent, colleague and friend. He had a way about him that always made one feel that they were special and he would make sure you were taken care of. Almost like a work 'father'. Ray always had integrity and treated everyone with respect.
It is difficult to loose a father and a spouse. Words can be comforting but fleeting. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Carol and I are saddened to read of Ray's death. When we began our teaching careers with Regina Catholic Schools, Ray was an assistant superintendent. Rumours in the district painted him a good and competent administrator, a fact we were able to confirm immediately. We always enjoyed our professional and personal relationships with Ray. The world has lost a good person.

I was very sad to hear about Ray's passing after recently talking to Paul about how his dad and mom were doing. One of my former staff members let me know that he was now at peace! My first thought was to remember that Ray had come to my classroom 43 years earlier to "Visit" me in this new classroom and as a first year teacher that November 1972 in Ray's new capacity as "Assistant Superintendent"! Ray knew that my first classroom had the Principal's son, Superintendent's daughter, and a Board member's son...but we still had a great post-conference and as usual; several laughs and jokes!!!.. A couple of decades later, I got to work with Ray when we were both at the Board Office. In the interim, I also got to teach his daughter Mary-Lou and watch my daughter become both close professional and personal friends with their son Paul, when she taught with him. Ray will be missed, but we have many great memories of enjoying time with him; that will now be kept alive through his kids and grandkids and also through his colleagues and friends who had much admiration and respect for Ray!
