Obituary of Jason Scott Stonechild

JASON SCOTT STONECHILD With great sadness we announce the passing of a husband, father-to-be, brother, uncle, nephew, and son, Jason Scott Stonechild. Jason was born into a life burdened with pain and sorrow, within his first year he lost both his parents to tragic circumstances. As a result he was raised by his maternal Kokum, Caroline Stonechild. Although his Kokum loved him dearly and tried to make his childhood good, Jason was always missing something and sought out things that could fill these empty spaces. For most of Jason’s life he struggled with drug and alcohol addiction and this was demonstrated through his frequent run-ins with the law. Although Jason didn’t overcome his struggle with addiction he was hoping one day to share his story with youth in the sincerest desire to inspire them to seek out a good life. We love him dearly. Jason is survived by his wife, Priscilla, their unborn child, their three children, his sisters/aunts Geraldine and Ethel (Robert), brother/uncle, William, nephews, Mitchell, Edward, William, nieces, Kelly, Kirsten, Kelsy, and Melissa. He is welcomed home by his Kokum, Caroline Stonechild, Mushom, Lloyd Stonechild, mother, Margaret Stonechild, father, Clifford Laplante, uncles, Gilbert Ratt, Steven Ratt, Gregory Stonechild, and George Stonechild.
