Obituary of Dean Alexander Longworth

DEAN LONGWORTH Dean passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Predeceased by parents, Joe and Catherine; sister-in-law Nancy; brother-in-law Idell Roseberry. He is survived by siblings, Sheldon, Lorne (Cathy), Earl (Doreen), Allan (Darlene), Carl (Mary), Kay Roseberry, Lyle (Julie), June (Gerry Mueller) and Priscilla (Murray) Segaert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dean was born and raised in the Woodrow District. After working for a few years at the bank, Dean started his 28-year long career with SaskTel. After retiring in 1998 he enjoyed caring for a large flower and vegetable garden. His greatest pastime was visiting with family. A Public Visitation will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Graveside Service will take place at the Biggar Cemetery on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dean to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 26-1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9.
