Obituary of Patrick 'Pat' Lee Meredith

PATRICK ‘PAT’ LEE MEREDITH After a brief and sudden illness, Pat, late of Regina SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife Shirley and family on December 18, 2015 at the age of 82. Pat was predeceased by his parents, his three siblings, and his daughter Cathy. Pat is survived by: his children, Patrick (Colleen), Diana (John) and Sue and grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his wife Shirley and her children, Randy, Brenda (Terry), Sandra (Paul), Penny (Vlado), Cindy (Doug) and Jodi (Tom) and grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was born in Moose Jaw, but lived most of his life in Regina. Pat enjoyed life and always felt blessed to have his friends from the Fieldhouse, his curling friends, and his A & W and Tim Hortons Coffee groups. Pat lived a rich life: he and Shirley loved to dance, golf and play cards. Pat was a man of great faith, attending Sunday Mass at Canadian Martyrs Church until its closing and more recently found community attending Mass at the Martha House. Pat always thought of others and even completed his volunteer work for the Salvation Army Kettle drive the day before going into the hospital. The family would like to thank Dr. Keyes, Nurse Patricia and the staff in MICU at the Regina General Hospital. The Funeral Service for Pat will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are most gratefully declined, though Pat would appreciate your thoughts and prayers when attending Mass.
