Obituary of Nickolaus Joseph Kainer

Nicklolaus, late of Regina, passed away on December 23, 2015 at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Nickolaus and Elizabeth; brother Andy and sisters Lee and Kae. Nickolaus is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Pauline; daughter Joan (George) Pearce of Regina, SK and daughter Sharon (Garry) Pletz of Red Cliffe, AB; grandchildren Nick (Crystal) Pearce of Regina, SK, Jim (Julie) Pearce of Saint John, NB, Wesley Pletz of Robsart, SK and Brad Pletz of Medicine Hat, AB; great grandchildren Olivia, Ava and Nickolaus Pearce as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Nick joined the army at the age of 17, fought in various campaigns in North Africa and Italy and upon his return home began his career as an Electric Motor Mechanic at Electric Motor Service in Regina. In later years, he formed a partnership with this good friend, Bill Pearce, to start up their own business; Capital Electric Motor Repair, where he continued to work until his retirement at the age of 62. Nick will be remembered for his outgoing personality, entertaining stories and most certainly, his love for his lifetime hobby of collecting stamps, coins and metals. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday December 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined.
