Obituary of Alfred 'Al' Yaehne

ALFRED YAEHNE July 11, 1930 – December 23, 2015 Al Yaehne, of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2015. Predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, Al is survived by his two sons, John (Cheryl) and Brian (Angie), grandchildren Tyler and Jillian (Ade) and great-grandchildren, Tayo and Alexander as well as his brother Philip. Born in the Southey area, Al was a life-long Regina resident and owner of National Cartage Ltd. He devoted much of his life to the family business and to community involvement. He was at one time a member of Gyro, The Regina Wildlife Federation, a Leader for Cubs and Scouts, President of the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association, he coached baseball and most recently has held various positions on the board of Broadway United Church and was a devoted Rotarian. Celebration of Al’s life will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave, Regina with Rev. Jim Balfour officiating. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined, however friends so wishing may make donations, in memory of Al, to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143 Stn Main, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
