NORMA RUTH KING (nee McGregor) April 25th, 1931 – January 5, 2016 Norma passed away peacefully on January 5, 2016. Norma is survived by her husband Allan; her grandchildren Willow, Jay, and Dallas (Terrence); her new great-grandson Clark McGillvery and her daughter in law, Lori King. She was predeceased by her parents Helen and Alex McGregor; her son Michael and her daughter Dawn-Lee. Norma was married to Al for 62 years. They met as teenagers and were rarely apart for almost seven decades. Whether it was vacations to Mexico and Europe or quiet barbeque dinners in their backyard during the summertime, they were always happy in each other’s company. All who loved her will never forget her passion for Al and her family; her charm, her wit and her creative spirit. She was a fantastic cook and a talented baker. She was patient, fun, and always let the grandkids win when playing games. Norma was extremely generous and always gave the most thoughtful and personalized gifts to her loved ones. Her granddaughters have very fond memories of being spoiled on weekend shopping excursions - she wanted everyone to look as fabulous as she always did. She organized countless family gatherings and always made it seem effortless; Christmas was a grand occasion on her watch! She leaves behind wonderful memories of incredible family meals, treats, arts & crafts, and tea parties with the kids. At Norma’s request there will be no Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Rd, Regina S4R 8P6. Should You Go First - A.K. Rowswell Should you go first and I remain To walk the road alone, I'll live in memory's garden, dear, With happy days we've known. In Spring I'll wait for roses red, When fades the lilac blue, In early Fall, when brown leaves call I'll catch a glimpse of you.
