Obituary of George Stoian

1927 - 2016 The family announces with great sorrow the passing of George Stoian at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Matheson, ON., on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Diane (née Sylvester) Stoian (December 20, 2015). George was predeceased by his siblings, John, Nick, Dan, Bill, Mary, Victoria, Zinnia, Helen, Sophie, Anna and Stella and his parents John and Anna Stoian. He will be greatly missed by his brother Constantine (Mary) Stoian and many nieces and nephews. George was born in Limerick Saskatchewan and moved east to South Porcupine, Ontario where he met and married Diane and together they both were the proud owners of Krakana’s Pump Station for 40 years. Prayers will be held at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina, SK, TONIGHT, Tuesday January 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location, on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Flintoft, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of George may be made to the Bingham Memorial Hospital, 507 8th Avenue, Matheson, Ontario, P0K 1N0. Any donations will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
