Obituary of Alfred "Ivan" Rein

Alfred, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 78. Alfred and his twin brother were born near Elbourne, SK and soon after the family moved to a farm near the east shore of Last Mountain Lake. The family grew quickly with the addition of four siblings. Tragically Alfred lost his Dad when he was six. His Mother moved the family to Duval where Alfred grew up and Duval remained dear to him. He enjoyed a rewarding career as an Account Executive in Print and Information Systems. Alfred was predeceased by his parents Ferdinand and Helene; brothers-in-law, Ken (Eleanor), Murray and Laird (Georgette). Alfred is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bev; children, Tim (Marylee), Tracey and Guy; grandchildren, Katie, Gage and Evan; twin brother, Allan (Pat), brothers, Leslie (Carol) and Gerry (Sandra); sisters, Vivian (Bill) and Darlene (Joe); sisters-in-law, Shirley (Art), Marlene, Bernice (Tex) and Ruby; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and extended family. The family wishes to thank Dr. G O’Byrne, Dr. B Richardson, Dr. A Ellwood, Dr. H Rehman, Dr. E Tse, Dr. W Wojcik, Dr. A Moustapha, Dr. O Sultan and Dr. S Korkola; the staff at the Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic; the staff at the Victoria East Medical Lab; the nurses and staff of Ward 5E at the RGH for the outstanding care Alfred received. A Come and Go lunch social to celebrate Alfred’s life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Saturday April 30, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Flowers most gratefully declined.
