On behalf of the membership and staff of the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace, we wish to offer our heartfelt condolences to Archbishop Daniel Bohan's mother, family and friends. We offer our condolences as well to the clergy and parishioners who will miss their good pastor and to the extended community in the archdiocese of Regina, knowing that Archbishop Daniel's warm, sage and kindly influence reached beyond the Catholic community.
Our own Development and Peace community is deeply saddened. National staff served with Archbishop Bohan on the CCCB Social Affairs Commission where he was recognized as a man of peace, who always sought justice and was concerned that the right moral and ethical path should always be taken. He was a kind person who listened to others carefully and took seriously his participation in the Commission.
Archbishop Daniel was readily available for us when we sought his help in the archdiocese and region. We will miss his good counsel and unwavering support; shared with us from the depths of his faith and with his mark of gentle good humour

It is with great sadness that we heard about the sudden passing of Archbishop Daniel Bohan. Please accept our condolences and may our prayers help comfort his family and friends.
For many years, Archbishop Bohan has been a source of wonderful support and help to many of us in Regina. He was well known for his engagement in inter-religious dialogue, a strong voice for the promotion of peace and justice in the city.
On behalf of so many Muslims who knew him in Regina, and many others involved in multifaith dialogue I wish to assure the Archbishop's family and friends of our love and prayers as they grieve for this great loss. In these difficult moments, words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that we all feel today. May God give him eternal rest and his family the strength to bear the great pain.

My wife Leonette was a patient in Regina General this early summer and shared a room with Fr Daniel (as he suggested we address him) Leonette suffered from advanced lung disease and despite his own struggles Fr Daniel gave of himself and spent time and prayers with her. She named a little teddy bear given by friends "Daniel" and it never left her side when she passed on July 27.It, and Fr Daniel, were a huge comfort to her in her struggle to reconcile what was happening to her and I believe provided some light at the end of the tunnel she faced. The spirit of this kindly man lives in our memories.Y

Father Bohan was our Priest here in Moncton NB., since our family moved down here in 1988. I had the privilege to do some house cleaning for him for a few years . I enjoyed working for him - both by cleaning, and by being on the different committees in the church. Our son Jeffrey enjoyed being an altar boy for Father Bohan from the time he enrolled in Grade 5 - until he finished high school in Grade 12. We (Peter and I) offer our deepest condolences to Mrs. Bohan, and the family. We will keep Father Bohan in our prayers, and pray that the family will be able to have closure with their loss.

Mrs. Bohan, Anita, Bernadine, Brian, Mark and Carey:
Carol and I offer you our deep condolences on Danny's passing. I had a short chat with him on the phone for his birthday but was shocked to hear of his death. We all mourn the loss of a truly gentle man who possessed a great depth of faith and commitment to his flock. Though we did not communicate a lot, we shared a lifelong respect and friendship following the two years we spent together in high school at Holy Cross here in St. John's.
You were all so very kind to me when I would drop in on you whenever I passed through Moncton and I always admired your truly close and remarkable family unit. Mrs. Bohan, Danny was one of six admirable examples of the superb parenting you and Mr. Bohan provided to your children and you are to be commended. We have fond memories of our time with you at his episcopal ordination in Moncton and, in particular, the lovely lunch we shared with you and Danny on PEI.
Carol and I were delighted to renew our friendship with Danny a few years ago when he came to St. John's for the CWL Convention and stayed with us and our dog, Annie. The two became great buddies over that few days and we all had a wonderful old time together. Be assured of our thoughts, prayers and best wishes as we know that our dear friend, Danny, is in his place of eternal rest and peace with his God whom he loved so much.
Sincerely,
Paul and Carol Duggan

I started out as an altar server with Father Bohan in Melrose New Brunswick somewhere around 1982(?). He was always very friendly and jovial. His brother Mark was also my home room teacher in high school. He will be dearly missed and my condolences go out to his family. I'm not sure where we go next on our journey but if you get a chance, perhaps you could check in on my wife who passed suddenly on November 30th and let her know we all miss her too!

With the Archdiocese of Regina, I grieve the passing of Archbishop Daniel Bohan. My sincere condolences to you, and especially to Bishop Dan's family. I was blessed to have worked in the Archdiocese for some years, serving at the Archdiocesan office as archivist, and counting Bishop Dan among my favorite "bosses". God's peace enfold you!
