Obituary of Malamati Sangarangos

MALAMATI SANGARANGOS Malamati passed away on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her parents Vaya and Pandeli, sisters Eleni and Filareti and husband Jim. Malamati is survived by her loving son Stacy. Malamati emigrated from Greece in 1957 and married her husband Jim in September of that year. She worked with her husband in the restaurant business for several years after giving birth to their son Stacy. She then spent the rest of her working years as a seamstress in various clothing businesses in downtown Regina. Malamati loved to garden and continued that passion into her 91st year. Prayers will be held at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road, Regina, SK on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church on Monday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Spiridon Vandoros officiating. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Malamati to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 – 1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
