Obituary of Rose Ann Fisher

Rose late of Regina, SK, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at the age of 88 years. Rose was born on January 1, 1928 in Humbolt, SK, the seventh of thirteen children to Louis and Isabelle (nee Flory) Steeg. Family was everything to mom. A lifelong homemaker, mom’s home was the centerpiece and focal point for raising her family. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she lived for her family. Always available, helpful and patient, mom was the epitome of a loving and devoted parent, sibling and friend. Rose nurtured a deep faith, and lived her faith by example. She was a founding member of St. Anne’s R.C. Parish and was acknowledged for over 50 years of service in the Catholic Women’s League. Rose will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Jane (Vern) Gebhardt and grandchildren Paul, David (Fiancee Danielle) and Mary; son Glen (Monique) Fisher and grandchildren Danielle (Youssef), Erica (John), great-grandson Roy and Logan; daughter Karen (Don) Hansen and grandchildren Timothy (Stephanie), Lukas (Leah), and Zachary; son Doug (Sandy) Fisher and grandchildren Jennica (Keenan), great-grandson London, Sean, Marcia (Levi), Kathryn and Amie; sisters Grace Kuiack; Marj (Don) Brockman and Isabelle (Russ) McConnell; her brothers Bob (Doris) Steeg, Rich (Joan) Steeg; brother-in-law Ed Perry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Bester for his thoughtfulness and considerate care, and to the staff of Solace Care Homes for their kind and compassionate attention to Rose’s needs. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s R.C. Church, 1701 Cowan Cres, Regina, SK, on Wednesday January 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Koep, Celebrant.
