Obituary of Reginald William Houston

JANUARY 3, 1930 – MARCH 6, 2016 Reg passed away on March 6, 2016 at the Santa Maria Nursing Home at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his parents William and Audrey; his brother John and brothers-in-law Hugh Taylor, Don Gray and Jim Furguson. Left to mourn his passing are his wife Adele; daughter Lisa Gebert; grandchildren Isaac and Lucy Gebert; siblings Jean Taylor, Bette Gray, Margaret Furguson and David Houston (Betsy Brydon); sister-in-law Ena Houston; brothers-in-law Ernie Pawliw (Ann Soulsby), Rick Pawliw (Diana Kerr) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Reg was a long time employee of Sask Tel and retired from the company after 35 years of service. He volunteered his time to the Kinsmen and K-40 clubs, the Regina Rams Football team, Sask Tel Pioneers and Westminster United Church. Like many others, Reg was a supporter of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He appreciated the support and strength he received through his participation in AA. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Reg’s life at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A tea will follow.
