Obituary of Helen Bzdel

Helen passed away at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on Wednesday March 8, 2016 at the age of 80. She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Jim and her children Barry and Darren (Jody), grandchildren Amanda (Mike Park), Curtis, Nathanial, Brennon, Mattias and Kaeden, as well as great-grandchildren Azra, Nika and Osias. She also leaves behind her siblings Walter, Mary, Lillian, Terry and Irene, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was the 6th child in a family of ten children of the late Joseph and Bernice Borowski of Wishart SK. She was also predeceased by siblings Isaac, Frank, Joe and Wallace. Helen spent a lot of time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved gardening and landscaping. In retirement, Helen and Jim often worked as extras doing commercials, movies and TV sitcoms or documentaries such as Corner Gas, Little Mosque on the Prairies, Moccasin Flats, Family Blessings and Englishman’s Boy. The family thanks the staff at the Regina General and Pasqua Hospitals for their care, compassion and kindness in Helen’s final days. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation in memory of Helen to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Regina Chapter, 1545C McAra Street, Regina, SK S6N 6H4 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3. Funeral Service will be held at a later date with interment at the Wynyard, SK cemetery.
