Obituary of Marj Dundas
ALICE MARJORIE ‘MARJ’ DUNDAS
Marj Dundas, after a life fulfilled with love of family and friends, passed away on March 13, 2016 at the age of 94. Marj was predeceased by husband Gerry in 1966 and husband Doug Ordinal in 2000. Marj is survived by son Richard (Margaret Duff) and his children Karen Ashton (Dave), and Katherine Dundas Gough (William) and their son Ethan; daughter Pamela Koschinsky (Maurice) and her children Leslie Degelman (Scott) and their children Grace and Anthony, and Hilary Thompson (Kevin) and their sons Anton and Jeremy; son Jim (Colleen) and their daughters Sydney Suttor (Stu), Tori Dundas, and Bret Dundas. Marj was born in Regina and raised in the Pelly district, where she married Gerry, raised her family and farmed. Following Gerry’s death she moved to Regina, where she worked at the Regina General Hospital for two decades and continued to manage the family farm. Beyond family, Marj’s passion in life was music. She played piano and accordion in countless ensembles with family and friends on stages and in homes throughout her life. Marj was a dedicated and decorated volunteer, and only retired from playing for seniors’ sing-alongs at the age of 94. Marj was also an avid sports fan, especially curling, at which she excelled. She was a life-long learner, enjoyed travel, and loved following current affairs and politics, especially her beloved Liberals. Daily, she wrote in her diary, did the crossword puzzle, and kept in touch with family and friends – all of whom will miss her, and her music, dearly. Service for Marj will take place at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 3233 Argyle Road, Regina, SK, S4S 2B5 on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to St. Luke’s Anglican Church.
