Obituary of Gloria Ann Klassen

Gloria Klassen, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully in the afternoon of March 9, 2016 at the age of 71 years. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Linda Seibold; infant son Gary, Gloria is survived by her husband Larry; her daughter Gail (Stephen) Luesink, grandchildren Tyler, Cody and Kyla; son Drew (Joleen) Klassen, grandchildren Zarina and Desmond. Gloria was born in Nokomis, SK and raised on a farm near Semans, SK as an only child. After completing high school she moved to Regina and attended Balfour Tech before beginning a career with SaskPower (1963-1993). Gloria also began attending Faith Baptist Church where she eventually met her husband Larry with whom she celebrated 46 years of marriage. Together they lovingly raised two children after losing their firstborn in infancy and delighted in five grandchildren. Over the years Gloria enjoyed singing in the church choir, serving the church in various ways, participating in secret sisters and singing with the SaskPower choir. Gloria loved the Lord, loved her family and loved her friends. She loved to sing and to share her smile. In her recent years, Gloria suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. The Lord took her home peacefully one afternoon at Regina Pioneer Village where she lived for her last nine months. She will be remembered and missed for her glowing smiles, her bright eyes, her generous loving spirit and her faith in Jesus Christ.
