Madeline Wigmore

Obituary of Madeline Gladys Wigmore

DECEMBER 18, 1948 – MARCH 11, 2016 Madeline, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016, surrounded by the love of her family. She was pre-deceased by her parents Ken and Phyllis Hudson. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Al; her children Sherri (Kevin), Karen (Brent), Tammy (Jon), Jason (Amy), and nine grandchildren. Madeline was born on December 18, 1948, in London, England. Her family immigrated to Sarnia, Ontario, Canada in 1956 where she grew up. After meeting and marrying Al, they moved to Regina where they raised four children and farmed for 30 years. Madeline instilled the love of music in both her children and grandchildren. She used her musical gifts to serve the Lord and could be found singing to or with her children and grandchildren almost anytime. You could always recognize Madeline’s presence in the crowd by her laugh. They retired to their beautiful Lumsden acreage in 2006, where mom enjoyed the view of the sunsets over the valley. Madeline fought heart disease for many years, and her family was given the gift of unexpected time to enjoy her. She will be remembered for the way she loved her family, her contagious laughter, and her faith in Jesus. Memorial Service will be held at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Drive, on Wednesday, March 16, at 2:00 pm. Service will be live streamed at westhillchurch.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dallas Valley Ranch Camp, Box 779, Lumsden, SK, S0G 3C0 or visit www.dallasvalley.com.
