HAROLD ERNEST DIEWOLD Harold, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the age of 68 years. Predeceased by his dad Albert, his mom Minnie, and brother Dennis, Harold is lovingly remembered by Dianne, his best friend and wife of forty-seven years; two sons, David and Katrina, Jason and Marie; grandchildren, Zachary (Gillian), Cole, Blake, Lucas and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Brooklyn; his sister Carol (Joe) Keen and brother George (Sherry); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on February 12, 1948 to Albert and Minnie Diewold where they lived on the family dairy farm in Balgonie, Saskatchewan, until they moved to Regina where he attended Balfour High School. After high school Harold started his life long career as one of the top machinists in Saskatchewan. He worked for Lenkurt Electric, Hylar Precision Machine, created and taught the Machine Shop Practice program at SIAST, and then spent his final twenty-three working years at Ross Machine Shop. Here Harold made many lifelong friends. Harold fell in love the first time he saw Dianne in the Fall of 1967. They were married a year later and the two lovebirds promptly started their family and had two beautiful sons, David and Jason, whom he loved dearly. He loved the outdoors, being at the cabin, hunting, fishing, golfing and sledding. He enjoyed many camping and fishing trips with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Rider fan season ticket holder with Dianne which they attended for over thirty years. After retirement they started making many trips down south to Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed their winter months and made many more new friends. Special thank you to the nurses and staff in 3D, Oncology and Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers most gratefully declined.
