Obituary of Deborah 'Debby' Joanne Staruiala

DEBORAH JOANNE STARUIALA June 29, 1949 – March 30, 2016 Debby Staruiala, age 66, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 30, 2016 on the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital. Debby was predeceased by her father, Ernest Kainz, and her sister, Daphne Krofchek. Debby is survived by her loving husband of almost 43 years, Joe (Morris); her children, Tara (Michael) Glover (La Ronge, SK) and Dean (Mandy) Staruiala (Regina, SK); her grandchildren, Lee, Jacob, Joshua, Hope, Hannah, and Zakary; her mother, Ruth Kainz (Melville, SK); her siblings, Garry (Shelley) Kainz (Southey, SK), Denise (Shayne) Krochak (Earl Grey, SK), and her brother-in-law, Murray Krofchek (Melville, SK), as well as an extended Staruiala family, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Debby worked as the secretary for the West Zone Board for many years as well as a volunteer for many organizations over the years. The family thanks the staff of Palliative Care, Unit 3B, Dr. Iqbal, Dr. Leong, and the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic for the excellent care they have provided Debby over the past year. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 3:30 p.m.
